About Us

Lean In Ministries, Inc. (“LIM”) is a registered 501(c)(3) IRS tax-exempt, nonprofit, religious, missions organization that trains, equips, and sends short-term mission teams to both Peru and South Asia, as well as supports our vetted Ministry Partner projects that further our missional purpose of evangelism and discipleship. We are driven by Christ's Great Commission where He tells us in Matthew 28:19-20 to "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Our desire is to take the saving gospel of Jesus Christ to the unreached, wherever that may be, and to make disciples in His name.

Our Story

In 2009, the International Mission Board reached out to a local church, asking them to regularly send teams deep into the Amazon jungles of Peru to reach the indigenous and unreached people group called the Urarina with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years, many teams have traveled to Peru to meet this need among both the Urarina as well as among individuals in need of Jesus in the city of Iquitos. Teams also began traveling to South Asia for the same purpose . . . to share the gospel and make disciples in Jesus' name. Lean In Ministries seeks to continue this ministry of training, equipping and sending short-term mission teams to both Peru and South Asia, as well as other places the Lord leads us to the lost. Lean In Ministries also support vetted ministry partners and their projects as they day in and day out live on mission for the Lord, faithfully serving Him and the lost in some of the most challenging places on earth. Our ministry partners faithfully and consistently do the work that we are fortunate enough to come alongside them twice a year.
